OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dental team in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient comfort and safety.
Duties
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Record and maintain accurate medical documentation for each patient visit.
Monitor vital signs and assist with patient assessments.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a friendly environment for young patients.
Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Operate 3D scanners for advanced imaging when required.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic.
ExperienceCandidates should possess the following skills and experience:
Proficiency in Epic or similar electronic health record systems is preferred.
Knowledge of medical coding practices related to dental procedures.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
Experience in dental assisting, including handling instruments and patient interaction.
Ability to perform vital sign checks and understand their significance in patient care.
Prior experience with 3D scanning technology is advantageous.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in medical documentation.
