Dental Assistant - Well Articulated Dental Studios - Arlington Heights, IL

As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during various dental procedures and ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients. Duties:- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by sterilizing and arranging instruments and equipment- Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing other necessary support- Take and develop dental x-rays as instructed by the dentist- Provide patient education on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and other dental health topics- Maintain accurate patient records and document treatment plans in electronic health records - Eaglesoft- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff- Take vital signs and record patient medical history as required- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or relevant work experience- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols- Familiarity with dental coding for insurance billing purposes is a plus- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients of all ages- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment - Surgical Assistant experience is a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
