Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality care.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patient oral health.
Maintain accurate medical records and document patient treatment plans.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Utilize knowledge of anatomy and dental terminology to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Assist in various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Perform medical imaging as required, including X-rays, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care in a supportive manner.
Qualifications
Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
Strong understanding of medical records management and dental terminology.
Proficient knowledge of anatomy related to oral health.
Experience with infection control systems and protocols within a clinical setting.
Ability to assist effectively during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Familiarity with medical imaging technology is preferred.
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is an advantage but not required.
