OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the clinic, providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental team. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as proficiency in various dental technologies. Expected work week is Monday-Wednesday.
Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary tools and materials are readily available.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
Manage patient records, including medical documentation and medical records management using Dentrix Ascend software.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Operate 3D scanners for imaging purposes when necessary.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to ensure timely service delivery.
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed.

Experience

Previous experience in a dental assisting role is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is essential.
Proficient in using Dentrix Ascend or similar dental practice management software is a plus.
Knowledge of infection control standards within a dental clinic setting is required.
Experience with dental imaging techniques is beneficial but not necessary.
