Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled, kindhearted and dedicated Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental assisting, with expertise in four-handed dentistry and a thorough understanding of dental terminology. This role involves working closely with the dentist to provide high-quality patient care and assist in various dental procedures.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow through effective four-handed dentistry. All in a timely manor. Our treatments are 1 hour long.
We have sedation days during the month, you will have the Dr as your assistant that day as well as supporting staff for the beginning of treatment.
At our office we do not provide EFDA assistants, if we are able to spare someone to help we will. We use Zyris Isolite Systems.
Prepare and maintain cleanliness of the treatment area, including sterilization of instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
Take dental X-rays as needed, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis.
No Lab Requirements.
Maintain accurate patient records in Dentrix.
Monitor vital signs of patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure their safety and comfort.
Educate patients on post-operative care, oral hygiene practices, and treatment plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or EFDA is required.
Proficiency in medical coding and familiarity with dental terminology is preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate patient records.
