Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and various dental procedures. A passion for patient care, especially in pediatrics and endodontics, is highly valued.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care.
Manage patient records accurately, including medical coding and documentation.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently as a dental receptionist when necessary.
Utilize 3D scanners for imaging and assist with digital impressions.
Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional care in pediatric dentistry settings.
Experience
Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and dental terminology is essential.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is preferred.
Experience with endodontics or other specialized areas of dentistry is a plus.
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is advantageous but not required; we welcome enthusiastic candidates eager to learn.
Proficiency in using dental software systems for record management is beneficial.
