Responsibilities

Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Take medical imaging and utilize 3D scanners for diagnostic purposes.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up visits for patients.
Ensure the orthodontic clinic is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality care in a supportive environment.

Skills

Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and familiarity with 3D scanning technology.
Knowledge of infection control procedures to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Understanding of dental terminology and medical terminology relevant to orthodontics.
Experience with Epic or similar electronic health record systems is a plus.
Ability to perform four-handed dentistry effectively during procedures.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is advantageous.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
