Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
Take and develop dental X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems such as Dentrix and Epic.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups, functioning as a dental receptionist when necessary.
Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of the treatment area according to infection control protocols.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Assist with endodontic procedures, utilizing 3D scanning technology when applicable.
Support the billing process by understanding basic medical coding related to dental procedures.
