OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental services. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with dentists and other healthcare professionals to assist in various procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a sterile environment.
Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using medical imaging technology.
Maintain accurate medical records using software such as Epic and Eaglesoft.
Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and following up on visits.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-procedure care.
Monitor vital signs as necessary during patient visits.
Support pediatric patients with care and comfort during their appointments.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry is essential.
Familiarity with medical coding practices is a plus.
Proficiency in managing medical records and utilizing dental software systems like Epic and Eaglesoft.
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Ability to perform basic medical imaging tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills to interact with patients of all ages, particularly children in pediatrics.
