Job Description
Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, performing administrative tasks, and ensuring a comfortable and efficient dental experience for our patients.
Responsibilities:- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures- Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing instruments and materials- Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays)- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring impressions and trimming models- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar- Provide support to the front desk as needed, including dental receptionist duties
Experience:- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required- Knowledge of dental anatomy, systems, and terminology- Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology is a plus- Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or other dental practice management software is a plus- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques used in dentistry- Ability to take accurate vital signs
