Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations within the office while providing exceptional care to our patients. This position requires a blend of clinical and administrative skills, making it essential for the candidate to be well-versed in dental assisting practices and proficient with dental software.
Duties

Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software, including updating medical histories and treatment plans.
Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as a dental receptionist when necessary.
Monitor vital signs of patients before, during, and after procedures.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care, particularly in pediatric dentistry.
Support specialized procedures in areas such as prosthodontics and pediatric dentistry.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; however, recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental software is highly desirable.
Knowledge of infection control protocols and safety regulations within a dental setting.
Ability to take X-rays and perform basic dental assisting tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills with an emphasis on patient interaction and education.
Experience in pediatrics or pediatric dentistry is a plus but not mandatory.
Certification in CPR and basic life support is preferred.
