OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
Duties
Lead dental assistant coordinating the back office as well as chairside assisting.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are ready.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
Itero scanning and keeping track of cases
Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using Dentrix or Eaglesoft software.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
Manage infection control protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow in the clinic.
Support pediatric patients with a gentle approach to create a positive dental experience.
Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and procedures.
Ordering supplies, keeping current with inventory
Coordinating with labs about cases
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred.
Knowledge of dental anatomy, medical terminology, and documentation practices.
Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is advantageous.
Understanding of infection control protocols and safety regulations in a dental environment.
Experience in specialized areas such as endodontics or pediatrics is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred.
