Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hygiene Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dental clinic. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional services. This position requires strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of medical terminology, and the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms for patient care.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
Manage patient records, ensuring accurate documentation of medical histories and treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Schedule appointments and manage the flow of patients in the clinic.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental office to ensure a welcoming environment.
Collaborate with the dental team to improve patient care processes.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred.
Knowledge of medical records management and medical imaging techniques.
Familiarity with dental clinic operations and general dentistry practices.
Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and systems related to dentistry.
Experience with Epic software or similar electronic health record systems is a plus.
Previous experience assisting in pediatric dentistry is desirable but not mandatory.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks.

Pay: Up to $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed
