Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental practices and patient care, ensuring the highest level of hygiene and comfort for our patients. This role is crucial in maintaining the overall health of our patients' teeth and gums, while also supporting the dental team in providing exceptional care.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care to promote long-term dental health.
Maintain accurate medical records and document patient treatments and procedures.
Assist in the development of individualized patient care plans based on their specific needs.
Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to assist the dentist during procedures effectively.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a sterile working environment.
Conduct medical imaging as required, including X-rays, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in dental hygiene practices.
Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates with relevant education.
Proficiency in medical records management and familiarity with dental clinic systems is essential.
Strong knowledge of infection control measures and best practices within a clinical setting.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
