Registered Dental Assistant - Henderson Pediatric Dentistry - Henderson, NC

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
Maintain infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Manage patient records and medical documentation accurately and efficiently.
Support pediatric dentistry practices by engaging with young patients and ensuring their comfort.
Utilize dental software systems, Eagle Soft, to manage appointments, and patient information.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, procedures, and post-operative care instructions.
Perform routine administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing inventory of dental supplies.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
Knowledge of infection control practices in a dental setting is essential.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry concepts is a plus.
Proficiency in medical documentation and coding is highly desirable.
Experience with managing medical records using electronic health record systems like Epic is beneficial.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate patient records.
Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members.
