Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, along with proficiency in various dental technologies and practices.
Duties
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring it is clean and organized.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
Utilize 3D scanners for imaging as required by specific procedures.
Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance workflow efficiency during treatments.
Manage patient records using Eaglesoft software, ensuring accuracy in documentation.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Assist with medical coding for insurance purposes when necessary.
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
ExperienceCandidates should possess the following skills and experience:
Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is essential.
Experience in assisting with endodontics, pediatric dentistry, or general dentistry is preferred.
Proficiency in using X-ray equipment and 3D scanning technology is highly desirable.
Knowledge of medical coding practices will be considered an asset.
Previous experience in a dental office setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
