Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
Duties- Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients.- Perform four-handed dentistry in collaboration with the dentist during procedures.- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.- Monitor and record vital signs as part of the patient assessment process.- Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment.- Assist in pediatric dentistry, providing care tailored to younger patients.- Utilize Epic systems for managing patient information and appointments.
Skills- Proficiency in working within a dental clinic setting.- Strong knowledge of infection control standards and practices.- Ability to perform vital sign assessments accurately.- Experience with medical documentation processes.- Familiarity with Epic systems or similar electronic health record platforms.- Compassionate patient care skills, particularly in pediatric dentistry.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
