Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages.
Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
Review patient documentation and medical histories to provide tailored care.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist the dentist during procedures as needed, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Maintain accurate records using Dentrix software for documentation and patient management.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care, particularly in pediatric dentistry settings.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist in a clinical setting is preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology related to general dentistry is essential.
Experience with documentation review processes and patient management systems like Dentrix is highly desirable.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus, especially when working with younger patients.
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and their application in a dental office environment.
