OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team in providing exceptional patient care within our dental clinic. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental terminology and infection control systems, and will be proficient in using Dentrix Ascend software. This role is essential in ensuring the oral health of our patients.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Document patient information accurately in the dental office management software, including medical imaging results.
Assist in the development of individualized patient care plans based on assessments.
Maintain infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Qualifications
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficiency in dental terminology and familiarity with Dentrix Ascend software preferred.
Knowledge of infection control systems within a dental office setting.
Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health.
Ability to work well within a team-oriented environment while providing excellent patient care.
