Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. We are offering a full time (4 days per week) specifically Monday-Thursday. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during visits. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. We are a contemporary, high tech and completely digital practice that tries to stay ahead of the curve while making the work environment pleasant to not only the patients but to the staff as well. Our Ruston practice location is a cozy, boutique office setting that creates a calming and serene experience for the dental provider. This opportunity will be specifically for our Ruston location but may include our new Old Town Tacoma expansion location on occasion if needed, which is a 7 minute car drive away.
Duties
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and vital signs.
Perform dental cleanings and scaling procedures to maintain optimal oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental check-ups.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Document patient treatments and progress accurately in the electronic health record systems.
Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans based on patient needs.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and medical terminology.
Skills
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and general dentistry.
Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and documentation review.
Familiarity with infection control standards and practices.
Experience or interest in pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, ensuring they understand procedures and care instructions.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage patient records efficiently.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65.00 - $72.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
