Job description
We are busy private dental practice in Shoreline seeking a warm and friendly dental hygienist to add to our team.
Responsibilities

Prepare patients for cleanings by checking for health changes, taking vitals, etc.
Prepare treatment room for incoming patients, including keeping your operatory clean and stocked.
Sharpen and sterilize tools following proper regulations and procedures.
Perform dental prophylaxis by cleaning stains and deposits from teeth and beneath gum margins.
Arrest dental decay by applying fluoride and other cavity-preventing agents.
Educate the patient by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions.
Document dental hygiene services performed, chart in patient record.

Skills

Proven experience as dental hygienist is preferred
Knowledge of basic sterilization methods
Understanding of health & safety regulations, current OSHA/HIPPA training. CPR/BLS certification
Excellent communication and people skills
Attention to detail, well-organized and reliable
Active WA state hygiene license
