Duties
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations, assessing the overall oral health of patients.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Perform periodontal assessments and document findings accurately in patient records.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide comprehensive care, including all dentistry services.
Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing dental issues.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Skills
Strong patient care skills with an emphasis on empathy and communication.
Familiarity with dental office operations and procedures.
Proficient in dental coding and understanding of dental terminology.
Ability to perform documentation review effectively while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Knowledge of infection control practices within a dental setting.

Understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
