OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice on Tuesdays only 8:45-5. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health is maintained and improved. You will work closely with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient experiences while adhering to best practices in infection control and patient assessment.
Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings, including perio charting, x-rays, scaling and polishing teeth.
Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and vital signs.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Document treatment plans and patient progress accurately in records.
Collaborate with dentists to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness as part of the patient care process.
Contribute to the team atmosphere by helping out anywhere needed.

Requirements

Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
Proficiency in dental terminology
Familiarity with dental systems and electronic health records (EHR).
Strong skills in patient assessment and documentation review.
Understanding of infection control procedures and protocols.
Ability to adapt and treat each person as a whole
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate patients effectively.
