OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist for FRIDAYS ONLY to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest standards of oral health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering comprehensive care.
Duties

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and assessments to maintain optimal oral health for patients.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Utilize medical terminology and dental terminology effectively when communicating with patients and team members.
Assist in the administration of infection control protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment.
Perform four-handed dentistry by assisting the dentist during procedures as needed.
Utilize Dentrix software for patient record management and scheduling.
Conduct medical imaging procedures as required, ensuring accurate capture of diagnostic images.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and infection control standards.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and dental terminology.
Experience with Dentrix or similar dental practice management systems is preferred.
Proficiency in infection control practices and four-handed dentistry techniques.
Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to treatment.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
