Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care while promoting oral health and hygiene. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient care, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dental office environment.
Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed using medical imaging equipment.
Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist the dentist during procedures as necessary, ensuring a smooth workflow in the office.
Monitor and record vital signs of patients prior to treatment.
Utilize Dentrix software for patient management and scheduling.
Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

Experience

Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding is advantageous.
Experience with dental assisting duties is a plus, enhancing overall patient care capabilities.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
