Position Overview:
As a Dental Hygienist at Savannah Dental, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the oral health of our patients. Working collaboratively with our skilled dental team, you will perform a range of duties to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction.:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Dental Cleaning:

Use dental instruments to clean calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth.:

Employ proper techniques to clean beneath the margins of gums.:

2. Periodontal Assessment:

Examine gums using probes to identify periodontal recessed gums and signs of gum disease.:

Feel lymph nodes under the patient's chin to detect swelling or tenderness indicative of oral health concerns, including oral cancer.:

3. Preventive Care:

Apply fluorides or other cavity-preventing agents to prevent dental decay.:

4. Radiography:

Expose and develop x-ray films to aid in the diagnosis and treatment planning process.:

5. Patient Record Management:

Record and review patient medical histories.:

Chart conditions of decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment by the dentist.:

6. Equipment Maintenance:

Maintain dental equipment to ensure optimal functionality.:

Sharpen and sterilize dental instruments to adhere to strict infection control protocols.:

7. Clinical Services and Education:

Provide clinical services to improve and maintain the oral health of patients.:

Offer health education to patients or the general public to promote good oral hygiene practices.:

Qualifications:
1. Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.:
2. Current and valid state dental hygiene license.:
3. CPR certification.:
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.:
5. Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care.:
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience working in a dental office setting.:
2. Certification in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide administration.:
