We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing excellent oral healthcare to our patients. Your main responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings and assist the dentist in various procedures. ```Responsibilities```
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and debridement
- Take dental x-rays
- Conduct oral cancer screenings
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
- Administer local anesthesia as directed by the dentist
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and materials
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories
- Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient care
```Requirements```
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in CA
- Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Proficient in medical terminology and dental procedures
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Familiarity with medical records management systems
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy and oral health conditions
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy rights
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
- Ability to operate dental imaging equipment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Basic knowledge of vital signs monitoring
-Spanish speaking is a plus but not required.
