OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled PEDIATRIC Dental Hygienist to join our dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest standards of dental hygiene. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health, educating patients, and assisting in various dental procedures.
Duties

Perform thorough patient assessments to evaluate oral health and hygiene status.
Conduct professional teeth cleanings, including scaling and polishing of teeth.
Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments as needed.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist in the management of infection control protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment.
Collaborate with dentists to provide four-handed dentistry during procedures.
Review medical histories and vital signs to identify any potential health issues affecting dental care.
Utilize dental terminology effectively when communicating with patients and staff.
Support administrative tasks such as medical coding for insurance claims when necessary.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of infection control practices and HIPAA regulations.
Experience in a dental clinic setting preferred, with familiarity in dental assisting being a plus.
Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and documentation review processes.
Ability to perform vital sign checks accurately.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on patient education.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
