Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing thorough assessments, and ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced dental office environment.
Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and taking vital signs.
Perform dental cleanings, non- surgical periodontal therapy, and polishing procedures while ensuring patient comfort.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of preventive care.
Assist in the development of treatment plans based on patient needs and preferences.
Maintain accurate patient records using Open dental software systems.
Implement infection control measures to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide exceptional patient care, particularly in pediatric dentistry settings.
Stay updated on the latest dental practices and technologies to enhance service delivery.

Skills

Strong skills in patient assessment techniques and understanding of vital signs monitoring.
Knowledgeable in infection control protocols and best practices within a dental office setting.
Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures related to general dentistry as well as pediatrics.
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about oral health care.
Ability to work efficiently within a team while maintaining a positive attitude in a busy environment.
