Dentist (Tazewell)
Job Summary Southwest Virginia Community Health Systems (SVCHS) is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our dental practice in Tazewell, VA . SVCHS is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) dedicated to providing Southern West Virginia, Southwest Virginia, and Northeast Tennessee with top-quality whole-person care, regardless of ability to pay. The ideal candidate for this position will provide high-quality dental care to patients of all ages, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their treatment. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a dedicated team.
Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive oral examinations and diagnose dental conditions.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
Perform a variety of dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, crowns, and root canals.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to ensure efficient patient care.
Stay updated on advancements in dentistry and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Adhere to aseptic techniques and maintain a clean, safe environment in the dental office.

Experience

Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
Proficiency in dental terminology and familiarity with medical records management systems such as eCW.
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry is essential.
Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
