Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dental office environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking medical histories and vital signs.
Perform dental cleanings and scaling procedures to maintain optimal oral health for patients.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in infection control protocols to ensure a safe and sterile environment.
Utilize Dentrix or similar systems for patient record management and appointment scheduling.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care, including working with pediatric patients as needed.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress.
Skills
Proficient in assisting with various dental procedures and treatments.
Strong knowledge of infection control practices and dental office protocols.
Familiarity with dental terminology to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
Ability to assess patient needs accurately and provide appropriate care recommendations.
Experience with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients of all ages, including children in pediatric dentistry settings.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining patient records and office cleanliness.

Pay: $42.34 - $44.02 per hour
