Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth, taking X-rays, and applying fluoride treatments- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide personalized recommendations for dental care- Assist the dentist during procedures by preparing materials and instruments- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history and treatment plans- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care- Stay updated on industry advancements and participate in continuing education programs
Qualifications:
- Must be an RDH in the state of Ohio, open to hygienists just graduating
- Valid CPR and other necessary certifications
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Office 365 and Microsoft Office.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with digital record-keeping systems.
- Proficiency in using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for dental procedures
- Experience with Dentrix or similar practice management systems
- Knowledge of dental coding and billing procedures
- Familiarity with dental records management and HIPAA regulations
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Familiarity with OpenDental, XDR a plus
Working Hours:
Full time position with hours to be discussed. No weekend hours required. Some evening availability for patient appointments.
