Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health and hygiene are maintained at optimal levels. This position requires a compassionate individual who is committed to patient education and comfort while performing various dental hygiene procedures.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluorides.
Assist in the management of infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment.
Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate records using Dentrix software.
Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive care tailored to individual patient needs.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
SkillsThe ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
Understanding of dental terminology.
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques.
Experience or knowledge in pediatric dentistry, including working with children.
Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
Solid knowledge of human anatomy related to oral health.
Experience working in a dental clinic setting.
Ability to effectively communicate with patients, especially children, regarding their treatment plans.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $43.72 - $46.81 per hour
Expected hours: 16 per week
