Lead Dental Assistant - Ostenson Dental - Vancouver, WA

OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and dedicated lead Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and clinical excellence within our practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental assisting, with a focus on teamwork, enhancing patient experiences, and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Duties

Oversee the execution of dental procedures, ensuring adherence to best practices in infection control and safety protocols.
Collaborate with Dentist to develop treatment plans and provide comprehensive patient education regarding procedures and care.
Manage dental imaging processes, including X-Ray operations, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Maintain accurate patient records, utilizing dental coding systems and electronic health records (we use Dentrix)
Ensure that all clinical equipment is properly maintained and that the team is trained in its use.
Foster a positive environment for both patients and staff by promoting teamwork and effective communication.

Experience

Proven experience in an dental setting, with a strong understanding of crown and bridge procedures, making temporaries, fillings, extractions, etc... Scanning digital impressions is a strong plus.
Familiarity with dental imaging techniques, infection control protocols, and relevant dental terminology is essential.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of patient care.
Strong organizational skills with a positive and pleasant attitude.
