Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments by preparing instruments and materials.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
Monitor patients’ vital signs when necessary and report any concerns to the dentist.

Skills

Proficient in infection control practices to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Familiarity with medical coding for accurate billing processes.
Understanding of dental terminology to communicate effectively within the team.
Ability to take vital signs and understand basic medical terminology.
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to dental health.
Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory.
