The Dental Assistant will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized environment.
Duties

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
Take dental X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Manage patient medical records accurately, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Utilize dental terminology effectively when communicating with patients and staff.
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist in ordering as necessary.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-procedure care.
Support the front office with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow when required.

Qualifications

Proficiency in dental terminology and knowledge of anatomy related to dental health.
Familiarity with medical coding practices is preferred but not required.
Understanding of prosthodontics is desirable for assisting with specific procedures.
Ability to perform tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Previous experience in a dental assisting role is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
