OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and contribute to a welcoming environment for our patients.
Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Perform basic dental procedures such as taking X-rays, applying topical anesthetics, and assisting with endodontic treatments.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Utilize dental software systems, including Epic, for managing patient information and appointments.
Conduct vital sign assessments when necessary.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program preferred.
Familiarity with medical coding and documentation practices is advantageous.
Experience with 3D scanners is a plus.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control measures is essential.
Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in similar roles is desirable.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are required to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to maintain professionalism while interacting with patients in a friendly manner.
