Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, fillings, and extractions.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring it is clean and organized.
Manage patient records and medical documentation accurately.
Take and record vital signs as needed.
Support endodontic and pediatric procedures with appropriate techniques.
Utilize Dentrix software for managing medical records and scheduling appointments.
Implement four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the practice.
Skills
Proficient in assisting with dental procedures, demonstrating strong technical skills.
Knowledge of medical documentation practices and maintaining accurate medical records.
Ability to take vital signs effectively and efficiently.
Familiarity with endodontics and pediatrics is a plus.
Experience with Dentrix or similar dental management systems is preferred.
Strong understanding of four-handed dentistry principles to optimize workflow.
Basic knowledge of medical coding related to dental procedures is beneficial.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining patient records.
