Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist dentists during procedures and perform various patient care, office, and laboratory duties.
Duties- Prepare patients for dental work- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs- Take and develop dental x-rays- Maintain accurate patient records- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment
Experience- Previous experience in a dental clinic is preferred- Knowledge of medical records, vital signs, medical coding, and medical imaging systems is advantageous- Familiarity with dental receptionist duties and medical documentation is a plus- Experience in pediatrics or dental assisting would be beneficial
