OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our friendly dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care and ensuring patient comfort during their visits. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing preventive dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional patient experiences.
Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and oral examinations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling and root planing, and polishing to maintain optimal oral health.
Taking routine radiographs when necessary.
Sterilization of instruments and proper disinfection of dental operatory.
Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments.
Occasionally taking alginate impressions when required and knowledge of local anesthetic injecting.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient treatments.
Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and sterile environment.
Assist in medical imaging procedures as needed.
Stay updated on dental terminology and best practices within the dental office or clinic setting.

SkillsThe successful candidate should possess the following skills:

Proficiency in managing medical records efficiently.
Strong understanding of aseptic technique to maintain infection control.
Some familiarity with medical coding related to dental procedures.
Willingness to learn EagleSoft dental software.
Knowledge of dental terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
Ability to work effectively in a dental office or clinic environment.
Competence in patient assessment to identify oral health needs accurately.
Familiarity with medical imaging technologies used in dentistry.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $42.00 - $47.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
