Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting orthodontists in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of orthodontic practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
Take dental X-rays and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Maintain accurate medical records
Follow aseptic techniques to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients.
strong understanding of orthodontic procedures
Scanning digital models/impressions
Requirements
Certification as an Orthodontic Assistant or equivalent experience is preferred.
Proficiency in taking X-rays and understanding of medical imaging techniques.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and medical records management.
Experience in general dentistry or prosthodontics is advantageous but not mandatory.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact positively with patients of all ages.
Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 â 15 per week
