Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during their visits. You will play a vital role in promoting oral health and educating patients on proper dental hygiene practices. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Duties

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, dietary choices, and preventive care.
Document patient medical histories and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist in the management of patient flow within the clinic, ensuring timely appointments.
Monitor vital signs as necessary and assist with any required procedures.
Maintain aseptic technique throughout all dental procedures to ensure patient safety.
Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to provide comprehensive care.

Skills

Proficient understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
Experience or knowledge in pediatrics is a plus for working with younger patients.
Familiarity with the operations of a dental clinic environment.
Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques to maintain hygiene standards.
Ability to manage and document medical records accurately.
Understanding of anatomy relevant to dental health and procedures.
Capability to assist in various dental procedures as required.
Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and education.
