Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during treatments. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to promote oral health and educate patients on proper hygiene practices.
Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Assess patients' oral health by reviewing medical histories and conducting examinations.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and the importance of regular dental visits.
Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist in the management of patient records, ensuring documentation is complete and up-to-date.
Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the dental clinic.
Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and technology.

Requirements

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and hygiene practices.
Experience or knowledge in pediatric dentistry is preferred.
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry.
Ability to review documentation accurately while adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
Previous experience in a dental office or as a dental assistant is advantageous.
Proficient in taking vital signs when necessary for patient assessments.
Understanding of medical coding related to dental procedures is a plus.
