Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety during procedures. This role requires a strong focus on patient assessment and education, as well as proficiency in various dental practices and technologies. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dentist and other staff to deliver exceptional patient care in a friendly and professional environment.
We are seeking candidates for a full and or part time position.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing oral examinations.
Provide preventive dental care, including teeth cleaning, scaling, and polishing.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take medical imaging such as X-rays to assist in diagnosis.
Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients.
Maintain aseptic techniques to prevent infection during dental procedures.
Monitor vital signs of patients before, during, and after treatments.
Collaborate with the dental team using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficient patient care.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Utilize Dentrix software for patient records management and medical coding as needed.

Skills

Strong patient assessment skills with the ability to identify oral health issues.
Experience or knowledge in pediatrics and pediatric dentistry is preferred.
Proficiency in medical imaging techniques relevant to dental practice.
Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control measures.
Ability to monitor vital signs effectively during dental procedures.
Experience with four-handed dentistry practices for enhanced efficiency.
Knowledge of Dentrix software for managing patient information is advantageous.
Understanding of medical coding related to dental services is a plus.
