Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and maintaining high standards of dental hygiene within our practice. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing various clinical tasks, educating patients on oral health, and ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and vital signs.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing to maintain optimal oral health.
Assist in the development of individualized patient care plans based on assessments.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate medical records and document all patient interactions in compliance with office protocols.
Ensure adherence to infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care, including pediatric dentistry when necessary.
Utilize dental office systems for scheduling appointments and managing patient information effectively.

Experience

A valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist is required.
Experience in a dental office setting is preferred, with familiarity in medical coding being a plus.
Knowledge of infection control practices and procedures is essential.
Previous experience in pediatric dentistry is advantageous but not mandatory.
Strong communication skills and a passion for patient care are essential for success in this role.
