OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team on Mondays and Thursdays. The opportunity on Mondays will be working with the general dental side of the practice and on Thursdays it will be working with the pediatric side of the practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental practices and patient care, ensuring the highest quality of service in our dental office. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and providing exceptional care to our patients.
Duties
Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations.
Administer preventive dental care, including cleanings, scaling, and polishing teeth.
Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and sterile environment for all procedures.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using Eaglesoft software.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Obtaining all prescribed x-rays, ensuring all images are high-quality for accurate diagnosing.
Collaborate with dentists to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Experience
Previous experience working in a dental office or clinic is preferred.
Proficiency in dental terminology and coding is advantageous.
Familiarity with patient assessment techniques and imaging technology is necessary.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.
