Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during treatments. You will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients on proper hygiene practices. Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred, as you will often work with children.
Pay
$58 per hour plus bonus. Current hygienist makes over $80 per hour with bonus.
Hours
Weeks alternate as follows:
Week 1
Wednesday 1-7Saturday 8-2
Week 2Tuesday 7-1Wednesday 7-1Thursday 7-1
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations using appropriate techniques and tools.
Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Review patient medical histories and document findings accurately.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
Maintain accurate records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Qualifications
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Knowledge of medical terminology and dental systems, including four-handed dentistry techniques.
Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus, along with familiarity with documentation review processes.
Strong understanding of infection control procedures and aseptic techniques.
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
