About Us:
We are a new and patient-focused dental clinic dedicated to providing high-quality care in a welcoming and professional environment. We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Front Desk Coordinator to be the first point of contact for our patients and ensure smooth daily operations. This role is ideal for someone who takes initiative, can effectively handle challenging situations, and has the potential to grow into an Office Manager position.
Job Responsibilities:
Greet and check in patients with a warm and professional demeanor.
Schedule and confirm appointments, optimizing the daily workflow.
Handle patient inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, ensuring excellent customer service.
Manage patient records, update insurance information, and verify eligibility.
Open, manage, and respond to all emails and phone calls in a timely and professional manner.
Add important tasks, meetings, and patient follow-ups to the doctorâs calendar to ensure efficient scheduling.
Process insurance claims, handle billing, and follow up on outstanding payments.
Address and de-escalate concerns from patients with professionalism and empathy.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve office efficiency and assist in daily operations.
Act as the doctorâs right hand, ensuring the office runs smoothly and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized front desk and waiting area.
Assist with general administrative tasks and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
Prior experience in a dental clinic is required.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism.
Self-motivated with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred.
Proficiency in medical office management software is a plus.
Strong understanding of medical billing processes and patient service protocols.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
High level of professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive patient information.
Prior experience in a healthcare or dental office is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of dental insurance processes and billing is a plus.
Ability to take initiative and make independent decisions when necessary.
Proficiency in office software (e.g., scheduling systems, Microsoft Office).
A strong desire to grow within the practice and take on leadership responsibilities.
