Amergis Staffing is looking for a Dental Hygienist for a 13 week initial contract. They can be travel or local. There is potential to go temp to perm or extend if the contract goes well. Travel Pay greater than 50 miles away from facility (40 hours):
Hourly - $20/hr
meals - $553/week
Lodging - $1071/week
Total weekly gross (pre-tax) - $2,424/week
Local pay (40 hours):
Hourly - $53/hour
The Dental Hygienist performs as part of a dental health team under the supervision of a dentist. Involvement includes clinical dental work and education with specific responsibilities governed by the state in which the hygienist is employed.
Minimum Requirements:
Current Registered License for the state in which practicing.
A minimum of one year experience as a Dental Hygienist Preferred.
Current CPR if applicable
TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
General CommentsJob Description
Under the supervision of the Dentist or contracted Dentists, the Dental Hygienist performs professional dental care the field of dental hygiene including all related clinical procedures. Physical attendance at an InnovAge facility is essential to performing the job duties.
Prepares necessary treatment materials and trays according to the needs of individual participants.
Screens and evaluates patients regarding cavity detection, periodontal pathology and medical history.
Performs exposing, processing and mounting of radiographs.
Administers local anesthetics and gross debridement in treatment of acute periodontal conditions.
Performs supra and sub gingival scaling and curettage, root planning and oral prophylaxis.
Administers topical fluorides.
Provides instruction for proper home care prevention techniques for oral hygiene including proper tooth brushing, flossing and nutrition.
Escorts participants from the treatment rooms and places them in comfortable surroundings.
Notes and documents participantâs records for procedures performed.
Assists in the training of dental assistants.
Cleans treatment room(s) after each participant visit by discarding all disposable items, gathering soiled instruments, and placing them in the sterilization area.
Checks treatment rooms for cleanliness and corrects as necessary.
Additional work functions and duties may be assigned
REQUIRED
High School Diploma or GED
Current state issued Dental Hygienist license.
A minimum of one year experience working in the dental profession as a dental hygienist required.
A minimum of one year experience working with the elderly or frail
