Job Description

Hours: Between the hours of 7:15 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
The Processing Assistant performs a variety of customer service, clerical, and office assistance tasks including data entry and word processing duties associated with the dental program clinical and community activities.
Primary Responsibilities:

Greet and register patients and visitors
Interview clients and obtain financial information
Maintain dental appointment schedule
Provide orientation to new patients
Maintain working knowledge of NC Medicaid, NC Tracks, iDentalSoft Software, and common insurance plans
Ensure that data is entered into computer system accurately

Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, Associates degree or higher preferred. DA I or DA II preferred. Fluency in English and Spanish preferred. Experience in a dental and/or medical office preferred. Experience with dental and/or medical software and NC Tracks preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Thorough knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, and office assistance techniques
Knowledge of business English, spelling and arithmetic
Ability to follow and apply policies and procedures
Must be able to enter data accurately into computer reports at a reasonable rate of speed
Possess ability to communicate effectively and to maintain effective working relationships with clients, community partners and school staff
Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computer, telephone, copier, fax and scanner
